Day 1 Perth to Margaret River & Augusta

• Your Laura the Explorer Journey departs from Perth City bright and early around 5.30am.
• You’ll be headed to Augusta, the most south western point in Australia. Here you will take a morning half hour tour to the top of Leeuwin Lighthouse for impressive views of where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet.
• Enjoy lunch along the beautiful southwest coast before exploring the biggest show cave in Western Australia - the “Jewel Cave” - for a 1 hour tour.
• You’ll then head to Hamlin Bay where you may be lucky enough to meet the friendly stingrays or choose to go for a swim, dip your toes in the beautiful Indian Ocean or enjoy a relaxing afternoon beach walk.
• Travel to Margaret River through the stunning Boranup Forest, home to ancient Karri trees where you will then arrive at your evening safari camp nestled amidst the towering timber of the Wooditjup National Park for some rest, a hot shower and a wholesome meal. • Driving distance today: 400km

Day 2 Hiking the Cape to Cape, exploring Margaret River

• Wake up in the comfort of your Safari Tent surrounded by the beautiful Wooditjup Forest.
• You will be given a hearty breakfast before heading off to hike a return section of the Cape to Cape track. This features spectacular coastal and forest scenery, a fascinating geology of cliffs, caves, headlands and rock formations and an every-changing display of vegetation and wildflowers. You may even be lucky enough to spy humpback whales leaping and seeing surfers riding giant waves. This track also has incredibly fascinating indigenous and Europe an history. Your hike will be around 2-3 hours (we won’t have time to do all 124km of the track!), but this depends on time and weather. • Enjoy a well deserved post-hike lunch in the forest or by the ocean before heading back to camp for a warm shower and refresh.
• Enjoy some downtime this afternoon exploring the town of Margaret River. Margaret River colloquially known as “Margs”, which has a lovely high street and community feel, located 10km from the Indian Ocean and positioned on the banks of the Margaret River. • As the evening rolls around you will be treated to an Aussie BBQ, and in winter we’ll even add on a campfire. • Driving distance today: 50km

Day 3 Surfing, wineries & sunsets

• Wake up excited today – this morning’s adventure is going to be the most fun you’ve had in a while and is great for both your physical and mental health! • We start with a wholesome breakfast before setting off for the coast.
• Take part in a 2-hour private group surfing lesson with Margaret River Surfing Academy. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced surfer this lesson will benefit you. You will be provided with wetsuits, surfboards, and the very best guidance from the professional, experienced coaches to ensure you become confident, capable surfer and have an amazing time in the water. You will be introduced to ocean safety and elevate your surfing skills to be ocean competent and be able to surf a range of conditions with confidence on your own. • Once you have shredded the waves you will head back to camp for a refresh and shower.
• The day just gets better – in the afternoon we’ll set off for wine and beer tasting at one of the almost 100 cellar doors and breweries in the region.
• Finish the afternoon watching a beautiful sunset over the Indian Ocean at Surfers Point in Prevelly and catch surfers surfing the world-class surf break. • We’ll return to your safari tents for your last evening on tour!
• Driving distance today: 100km

Day 4 Chocolate, cheese and crystal-clear beaches • Our last day of this epic adventure starts with one last cooked breakfast together

• We’ll then set off to one of the most popular tourist destinations in Western Australia – “The Margaret River Chocolate Factory”. It’s as good as it sounds - here you will be able to enjoy free chocolate samples, browse their 200+ exquisite chocolate product range, or try their hot chocolates. • Once dessert is out of the way, we then head over to the Margaret River Dairy Company. Proudly crafting cheese and yoghurts, this is an icon of the community and you’ll be able to enjoy some beautiful taste testers of their products. • We then make our way north to Dunsborough, a renowned holiday town, where the Geographe Bay’s crystal-clear oceans and pristine white sandy beaches are aplenty. We will enjoy lunch and a swim here. • We then head to Busselton, where you will be given the opportunity to walk the ~2km long Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden piled jetty
in the Southern Hemisphere. • After an incredible few days adventuring through the famous South West of Australia, you will make your way back to Perth and sadly say your final farewells around 7pm.
